FUN!!!

Cal came home on Saturday and surprised me with THIS!I was so excited...I literally started crying and shaking! I have been wanting a Nikon D90 for soooo long! My student teacher last year wet my appetite for it. She is taking a day with me soon to show me the ropes on how to use it! I am SOOOOO excited!

Here are a few snippets of my amateur photography....I was just practicing! I need all of the advice and instruction that I can get! This camera has so many gadgets! If you have advice on ANYTHING to do with photography...PLEASE leave a comment and give me pointers!!!

Great pics!!! AND START TAKING PICS OF YOUR GROWING BABY BUMP!!! :)

Oh! I meant to also tell you, along with that book rec I posted on FB, my three favorite camera add-ons are:

• a 50mm f/1.8 lens--great for low light indoors and a relatively inexpensive lens. It's the only one I really use right now.

• Lens filters, and I think my favorite is the polarizer--or the UV filter. Filters make a big difference in the outcome of photos!

• External flash!!! With flash diffuser!!!

I found your blog through Samantha and Paul's and just wanted to say congrats about your super exciting news!!

We just got a new Nikon (D5000) and I am trying to figure out how to work it. The manual is like Greek to me. But your pictures look awesome, and it doesn't look like you need any help to me! :) My baby is 8 months old and I regret that we didn't get this camera the day she was born! You will have so much fun taking pictures of your cute babes!
